This is a once in a lifetime experience and a memory you will treasure forever. Use a kayak or stand up paddle board (SUP) to paddle a pristine mangrove tunnel with starfish, upside down jellyfish, soft coral, sponges, and seahorses. This amazing tunnel leads to a hidden lagoon where the only sound you will hear is the gulf breeze blowing through the mangroves. Then we will continue on to Don Pedro Island State Park Beach which is only accessible by boat, kayak, or paddle board so it is one of the most unspoiled and private islands in Florida. Here you will have a chance to rest and explore the beautiful beach and swim in the warm clear water. We will provide a light snack lunch of a small sandwich, chips, and water. This is also a great beach for shelling so remember to bring a bag for your treasures! On our paddle back you should keep your eyes peeled for the West Indian Manatee and dolphin pods that frequent these waters. One of the things often exclaimed by our paddlers is “This is way better than Sea World!”

The world’s first international weekly cleanup, Ocean Hour leverages social media and technology to crowdsource cleanups around the globe on a weekly basis. The first Saturday, each month, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., no matter where you are on this planet, the Ocean Hour community will head to local beaches, rivers, lakes, and waterways around the globe to clean up trash and marine debris. We realize you can’t make it to every cleanup, but with social media and our ability to mobilize the masses, our impact is powerful even if only 10% of our community shows up on any given month. As our network continues to grow, our influence will thrive exponentially with larger turnouts each month. Whether you can make it once a month, or once a year, we invite you to join us in this movement.
